I wanted to inform you of this, as the LKDSB values open and transparent dialogue with its students, families and the community. Under the Protecting Students Act, 2016, Ontario teachers found guilty of professional misconduct involving sexual offences face a mandatory loss of their teaching certification. The LKDSB provided an update to the Ontario College of Teachers regarding this matter. This teacher has not been in the school since the allegations were made.
